Rosemary is a dance artist usually residing in Manahatta. She is currently residing in coastal Algonquin Merrimack territory. This place has many seafood markets and is in close proximity to the Seabrook Nuclear Power Station which employs 650 people, generates 40% of “New Hampshires” “electricity,”and is located two miles from the ocean, 20 feet above the mean high tide level.

Within moments of sending in my application to overland, I realized I had made a mistake with by bio! I realized I quoted, without confirming, wikipedia how close the Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant is located to the waters of the “Atlantic” Ocean. I immediately began investigating the waterways in the area and became taken with the sight/site of the power plant in various watery locations, the river, the marsh. I collected images of the power plant on my daily walks around.
In my wanderings, I also began to take images of seafood restaurant signs which I intend to print into a booklet, Sexual Politics of the Seafood Market.
My Participation with Shelter was very beneficial to me. It helped me consider my practices during this time period. Somehow knowing I had this residency helped me be more mindful and systematic with my time, as well as allowing my biological creative system to flow with ease.
